All Will Come To Pass For You

In Joshua chapter 23, Joshua says in his farewell address to Israel, "...not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you." I believe that we need to take a careful look into the truth that if God has promised it, then we need to believe it.

God always accomplishes His Word, but like Joshua, we need to be sure we do our part. I believe many people feel that they have been abandoned by God, but I want to encourage you that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

God is faithful to His Word, but we must stay faithful to Him.

You and I have more control over our destiny than we know or think. Our ability to succeed and accomplish things in life is directly related to the choices that we make. God has a part to do and so do we! We are the deciding factor on whether or not we do our part. In Joshua chapter 18, the seven tribes of Israel had not possessed their promise from God and Joshua asked them "How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?"

It is obvious that possessing the promises of God do not come without our discipline, and it is also determined by the choices we make in obedience to His will. John 6:1-14 is a story of a young boy who gave up his lunch so Jesus could feed a multitude. The issue was not about giving up his lunch. The issue was his obedience to Jesus' desire to feed the people. The result of his obedience was a great miracle. It doesn't matter how impossible it seems, the lesson for us to learn is that if we are willing to obey, nothing is impossible for God!

You may be facing a giant in your life or a seemingly impossible task. First hear what God has to say about it, and then like this young boy, make a choice to respond to Him in obedience. When you do your part, no matter how insignificant it may seem, God can and will do miracles! God was not after that young boy's lunch, He was after his heart, and when God gets your heart, you become a conduit to release miracles.

What can inspire us from Joshua's life...

1. His Obedience...

The Bible says that Joshua had done all that the Lord commanded him. He heard the voice of God, and then made a decision to act in obedience to God. This may sound very basic, but possession for Joshua came about by a simple act of obedience to the will of God.

2. His Ability To Envision...

Your faith alone will not accomplish anything. You must have something to put your faith into.
You need to envision a clear-cut objective in life. Simply know who you are, where you are at, and where you are going, and then faith is the force to get you to the place of possession! That was the story of the woman with the issue of blood. She was aware of who she was, but in her heart she had a clear-cut objective to get to the place where Jesus could perform a miracle. In your heart today, know where you are and who you are, and put your faith into where God wants you to be!

3. He Desired God's Will...

Wanting and desiring does not have the same meaning. The desire to serve God brings possession. Proverbs 10:24 says that "...the desire of the righteous will be granted."
In Psalm 37:4 it says “delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." Joshua desired to make a willful decision to pursue and possess God's purpose for his life. Desire is when your heart burns for God and His plan for you.

4. Speak God's Word...

Isaiah chapter 55 says that God's Word does not return void. Too often, the confession of our lips toward God's purpose can be negative. How we talk is evidence of our faith. We must be sure that we speak the language of heaven, because God is responding too, and He is faithful to His Word. He watches over it to perform it.

5. Have Determination...

This simply means that no matter how impossible something seems in your life, be determined to pursue and possess. Determination can be the fuel for possessing the promises of God. Paul said in Philippians 3:14, "I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Paul was determined to reach forward to the things that were ahead of him, not behind him.

Joshua told us that he and his household served the Lord. That was the foundation of the success in his life. At the end of his life, Joshua could say as Paul did, "I ran the race and finished." This is the desire of God for us! Be encouraged today and stand on the Word of God and know that your promise will come to pass!
