12 step recovery program based on the
beatitudes. Current groups
include drug & alcohol recovery, food addictions
and eating disorders
recovery, and divorce recovery.

Community Crisis Team - emergency in certain acute crisis
situations - pastoral care, food, clothing, shelter.

Grief Care - short term counseling care through the process of grief.

Transitions Counseling Service - caring professional guidance

wisdom in resolving the conflicts of life for members and regular
attendees of S.C.C.
Community
Days: Our annual carnival, barbeque and community event held
in May. Rides, games,
and
prizes - fun for the whole family!
Discipleship
Groups: We meet
in
small groups to provide love, acceptance and forgiveness to all men and
women seeking God. our goal is to train, nurture and strengthen your
walk of faith. We are actively engaged in winning people to Christ,
building and preparing people to fulfill the Great Commission
as
spoken by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20.
Elevate:
A
weekly meeting of young adults ages 18-30 where God's purpose and plan can
be discovered! At elevate you'll find music, food, and the truth of
God's Word. Every Tuesday night in the S.C.C. cafe.

Elevate will be moving from Tuesday to Sunday nights effective February
4th*
Grief
Support Group: Restoring
Hearts Ministry extends
a heart
felt invitation to the grieving and brokenhearted to come together
for sharing, support and hope! Restoring Hearts is for those who have
lost loved ones and those challenged with care-giving
responsibilities. We come together under the covering of our faith in
Christ Jesus. It's a gathering of people who listen with compassion
and understanding. We provide an environment that fosters healing
without timetables and is confidential and nonjudgmental. Meeting
are the 4th
Thursday of each month 6:30pm-8:30pm
in the Education Wing.
MOPS:
Mothers of Preschoolers is a program designed to encourage mothers
with children under school age through relationships and resources.
These women come from different backgrounds and lifestyles, yet have similar
needs and a shared desire to be the best mothers they can be! MOPS
groups provides a caring, accepting atmosphere for today's mother of
preschoolers. Here she has an opportunity to share concerns, explore
ideas of creativity, and hear instruction that equips her for the
responsibilities of family and community. MOPS
meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each
month from 10am - 11:15am at
S.C.C.
in the Education Wing.
Men’s Ministry: Our monthly men's meetings
is held the last Saturday of every month, 9:30AM at S.C.C.
in the Education Wing.
Men's
Bible Studies: We have various
on-going men's Bible studies held at a variety of locations. For more information call the church office at 627-2183.
Music
Ministry:
Praise and worship is why we live!
Our music
department continually strives for excellence for worship
unto the
Lord. We offer opportunities for congregation members to participate
in our choir, musician section, and lead vocals.
Sunday
School: We offer a Sunday School program for children grades
K-8 at the 10:00AM Sunday Service and grades K-4 at the 8:30AM Service. Nursery is also available for
children birth - age 4
at
both Sunday Services.
Softball:
If you love sports, then you won’t want to miss an opportunity to play on
the Southtowns Christian Center Softball Team! Every summer, the Christian
softball league plays against other local churches.
Van Ministry:
Southtowns Christian Center provides a van service for shut-ins, the
elderly, or any person in need of transportation to and from church services
at S.C.C.
Women’s Ministry:
"Deborah Company" There is a
sound in the land today, a sound like a mighty rushing wind moving across
the world. It’s the sound of the Holy Spirit Calling
All Deborah’s to arise and take their rightful place!
